About the Founder

Mrs. Seets is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Overton Brooks Veterans Affairs Medical Center (OBVAMC) where she works in Mental Health Services with homeless Veterans (Healthcare for Homeless Veterans) and their families. She also works on the Homeless Patient Aligned Care Team (HPACT) as the HPACT Social Worker. Angela has participated on several committees at Overton Brooks. She has participated on the Women’s Veteran’s Committee, Employee Assistance Program, Employee Association, Sprint Team, HCHV Safety Team, Coding Team, CARF Planning Team, Strategic Planning Team and Social Worker Retreat Planning Committee. She partnered with several shareholders while serving the Monroe area to ensure veterans received adequate services in the community. She was selected to participate in the Veterans Health Administration’s VISN 16 2022 Leadership Development Institute.

A Clinical Professional You Can Trust

Mrs. Seets has played a vital role in the workplace and the community providing supervision to social worker, counseling, and psychology interns. She currently provides supervision to master’s level social workers preparing them for clinical licensing. She mentors social workers and other disciplines in the helping field. Mrs. Seets is approved by the Louisiana State Board of Social Work as a Continuing Education Provider.

Mrs. Seets has volunteered many years in the community. She is an active member of Association of Black Social Workers - North Louisiana Regional Chapter (ABSW-NLRC) where she has chaired the Scholarship and Awards Banquet, the Annual Christmas Party, Voter Registration at the Annual Community Forum, and many other events. She has served as Historian and Vice-President. Mrs. Seets is an active member of National Association of Social Workers (NASW) where she has presented on many topics.

She is an active member of Grambling Alumni Association – Shreveport Chapter, NAACP- Shreveport Chapter and the Association of Professional Women. Mrs. Seets is the State Representative for BGSW-Shreveport (Black Girls in Social Work).


Mrs. Seets was named NASW Social Worker of the Year -2019, ABSW-NLRC Social Services Worker of the Year - 2017. She has received ABSW-NLRC’s highest award, the Delton Abrams Leadership Award - 2018.


Mrs. Seets is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Delta Lambda Omega Chapter where she has served on the Executive Board, Graduate Advisory Committee and several other committees. Mrs. Seets served as Co-Chair for the South Central Region, North Louisiana Cluster Retreat -2018.


She is an active member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Shreveport where Dr. Theron Jackson is the Overseer. She has served on the Welcome Team, Volunteer Team, Door Greeter Team, Mission Department, Usher Board Ministry and Youth Department. Mrs. Seets has volunteered at several churches and community events educating on mental health issues such as managing depression, stress, and anxiety.
