About the event
Empirical research indicates that proactive self-care decreases the risk of impairment and improves job satisfaction and professional longevity. This course will elucidate the concepts of self-care, burnout, compassion fatigue, and trauma stewardship, and their significance in healthcare practice. Participants will gain an understanding of self-care and trauma stewardship as ethical responsibilities and essential components of their profession. They will explore general self-care practices and strategies, learn to assess and evaluate their own self-care practices, and develop personal and professional strategies to enhance and prioritize self-care.
